Terms of Use & Community Standards

These terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple’s Standard EULA, Apple’s terms control.

Using the service

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these terms. Keep your sign-in credentials secure, provide accurate account information, and use Spines & Spins only for lawful book-club planning and discussion. You are responsible for content posted through your account.

Community standards

Do not post or record harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual exploitation, pornography, graphic violence intended to shock, scams, spam, another person’s private information, or content that infringes intellectual-property rights. Do not impersonate another person or use clubs to facilitate unlawful conduct.

The app may reject clearly objectionable text before it is posted. Readers can report messages and block other readers. We may review reports and remove content, restrict access, or close accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these standards. Your content

You keep ownership of content you create. You grant us a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and protect the service. Make sure you have permission to share anything you upload.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are one-month auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple. The app shows the current localized price before purchase. Payment is charged to your App Store account when confirmed and renews monthly unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel through App Store subscription settings. Deleting a Spines & Spins account does not cancel App Store billing.

Book information and external services

Book metadata comes from third-party catalogs and may be incomplete or inaccurate. External Google Books, Open Library, Amazon, and App Store links are provided for convenience. Their services and transactions are governed by their own terms. Spines & Spins does not currently receive an Amazon affiliate commission.

Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect catalog data, or preservation of content after an account or club is deleted. Keep exports or backups of content that is important to you.
